It was eerily quiet, an unusual occurrence because of all the altercation and commotion that’s been taking place around the nation. Gladly though, it was an immense alteration to what seemed like a labyrinth in pulsation and a zone of erroneous conduction.
The cool breeze was filling up the entire four-walled location, which she’d claim as her own personal hub — a place where her thoughts didn’t seem to falter and the memories, always in a safe shelter.
Snuggling closer to her best friends in bed, her pillows, and curling up with her furry companion (which people know as a blanket), she just found it even harder to sleep. Something was triggering her nocturnal self to be active once again. *sigh* Maybe, it was that day.
Sitting closely, their random yet unending stories seemed to have pulled them even closer to each other and pushed them away from the unfamiliarity that once drew them apart. The sound of their laughs filled up every empty musical sheet, and now had harmony with their melodies.
Clearly, they were digging in deeper to each other’s thoughts and trying to slowly unfold the mystery behind the remains of the past.
For a moment, they locked their gazes towards each other and held on for a while. Their orbs flew back from the dungeon of oblivion that they were stuck in. Their lips quivered — seemingly in the process of entailing something that’s way beyond their knowledge, but now being set out to broad daylight for one to decipher.
As clichés would state, they were like the negative and positive charges: a duo of contradiction yet was brought together by the law of attraction. Let alone, they were apparently two souls bonding with the probabilities in life…. and possibly, love, at that.
And so…
For a moment, she thought of the possibilities trying to fit in her mind, taking away the interest drought she grew up with.
For a moment, she actually wanted to just be free from her inhibitions and settle with what’s laid out there, right in front of her.
For a moment, she chose to forget all her standards and the walls she’s been building up high to avoid further nuisance.
For a moment, she thought about what could happen with the proximity that’s dawning and coming to her life.
For a moment, she wondered about how it feels to feel something for not just for anything.
For a moment, she tracked all the what ifs she’s been throwing herself for the past decades of her existence.
What if she gets in trouble with her decisions? What if she goes beyond the line? What if she’d mistake someone as for the good? What if she’d be taken for granted?
For a moment, she put all those what ifs at the least of her priorities and sucked up the comfort of simplicity.
For a moment, she decided to just go with the flow of whatever that was given to her.
For a moment, she wondered about how it feels to let someone in without depriving him of the chance to know her flaws and that entire buzz within her.
For a moment, she considered the chances of falling into something magical yet really indescribable at the same time.
